Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Coming Soon!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will ship with Android 3.1 and Samsung TouchWiz UX. Powered by the Tegra 2 dual core processor from NVIDIA, Samsung’s tablet offers customizable home screens and the intuitive Samsung TouchWiz UX with Live Panel, a WXGA-TFT HD touchscreen, Adobe Flash Player, games, videos, and Samsung’s and Google’s own apps and services such as ,Samsung Hub, Social Hub, Gmail, Google Maps and a whole lot more. There’s also a front 2mp camera and rear 3mp camera with autofocus and flash.
Samsung’s TouchWiz UX allows you to override Android’s limitations in adding items to the home screen on smartphones. This needs special mention because with the TouchWiz UX, Samsung allows you to add an item by swiping through home screens while keeping an eye on the widget to add unlike Android’s way of making you scroll through a text list, pick an item and add it to the current screen.

New social networking-google +

Google did not say how many people had signed up for Google+ so far, but confirmed the social network was now open to all, whereas previously it had been invitation-only. Analysts estimate upward of 25 million users have joined Google+ since its inception.
The company also made its search engine available from within the social network. Users can search from Google+ and get results not just on the network, but from the worldwide internet.
Google integrated its flagship search engine into its three-month old social network – with membership now open to the internet public – and expanded its Hangouts video-chat feature to allow mobile use and broadcasting.
The company said on its official blog its well-received Hangouts feature – where up to nine people can link up and chat with a user on video – will be available on camera equipped smartphones powered by its own Android software. Support for Apple iOS devices “is coming soon”, it added.
And a user can now host an online broadcast with this feature – recording a session and broadcasting it live for public access online. Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am will host the first Hangout on Air later today, Google said.
Acer Aspire 9800 Notebook
The Acer Aspire 9800 is an all-in-one multimedia machine that packs an Intel Centrino Duo processor, a massive 20.1-inch display, a powerful Nvidia GeForce 7600 graphics card, and an integrated HD-DVD drive into one very large package. This desktop replacement gives you almost everything you’ll need for a killer multimedia experience, except easy portability. First things first, this machine isn’t for the feeble. Weighing a hefty 17.2 pounds, the Acer Aspire 9800 rides shotgun with the Dell XPS M2010 as one of the largest laptops ever; the display alone is thicker than some notebooks. The entire system is 2.4 inches thick.

The good: Beautiful, broad, 20-inch display; built-in HD-DVD drive; built-in TV tuner; dual hard drives provide plenty of storage space.
The bad: Too large to carry; you can’t adjust the display height or keyboard distance from the display; somewhat disappointing gaming performance.
The bottom line: The large, 20-inch Acer Aspire 9800 offers a decent multimedia experience, but you’d be better off buying a more portable laptop and a detached display.
Not surprising for a machine with such a large display, the Acer Aspire 9800 laptop battery could not even last the 90 minutes required to run our battery life benchmarks. Then again, given the laptop’s gargantuan size, it’s likely to be tethered to a wall socket for most of its life.
